RERA
Also known as: Real Estate Regulation and Development Act, K-RERA
RERA is the regulatory regime requiring most real-estate projects to be registered with a state authority that publishes project details, approvals, timelines and promoter track record.
For a buyer, the state RERA portal is a free and materially useful diligence source: it discloses the sanctioned plan, the declared completion date, litigation involving the promoter, and whether the project is registered at all. An unregistered project that legally required registration is itself a red flag, independent of any title question.
