Khasra and Khatauni
Also known as: khasra, khatauni, bhulekh
Khasra is the plot-wise field record in North Indian states and Khatauni is the holder-wise account aggregating all plots held by one person in a village.
Accessed through state Bhulekh portals in Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states, the pair together answer two different questions: what is recorded about this plot, and what does this person hold across the village. Both are revenue records, presumptive in nature, and do not establish title.
