11E Sketch

Also known as: 11E, eleven E sketch

An 11E sketch is a survey-department drawing showing the precise boundaries and extent of a sub-divided portion of a survey number, and it is required before a part of a survey number can be registered separately.

Issued through Mojini in Karnataka, the 11E fixes on the ground exactly which portion of a larger survey number is being conveyed. Without it, a sale of "one acre out of survey number 42" is spatially undefined and cannot be reliably registered or mutated. Comparing the 11E against the parent survey sketch is how boundary overlap and double-sale of the same portion get detected.
